Due to the success of Perfect Locks Hair Company, the Indian Hair Blog was recently launched to satisfy a growing demand for insight into the Indian hair industry. You will see a wide variety of topics stemming from the roots of Indian hair extensions, tips on caring for Indian hair, and much much more.
The blog was created in Wordpress just like this one… I also created a custom CSS based template for the blog to make it intriguingly unique and inviting. The blog is also running analytics with adsense units in the right column. It’s SEO optimized and has Google analytics integrated, so it’s ready for prime time. There will be constant enhancements so please do stop by to check it out whenever you get a chance, even if you’re not into Indian hair!
We hope to turn a lot of pages with this blog, and educate people wanting to learn more about Indian human hair for extension purposes.

In a few simple steps, here’s how to burn almost any video file on your computer to a playable DVD. I’ve always found it very inconvenient trying to find the right software to convert the right video format into an easy to burn DVD format… until now! DVD Flick is a simple but at the same time powerful all-in-one DVD Converter and Authoring tool. It can take several video files stored on your computer and turn them into a DVD that will play back on your DVD player, Media Center or Home Cinema Set.

CS3 now supports a new interface that’s slick and intuitive. Don’t worry, things are still in the same place, more or less. Photoshop is now dressed in collapsible Palette Panes. The palettes can be docked, minimized into icons (click on image at left for full view) or dragged out of the panes to perform the way they always have. This new interface really maximizes screen real estate and lets the application get out of the way of your work. The toolbox can now be displayed as a single column or the standard 2-column for those of us who resist change. Watch it in action. Download and try it for yourself! Unfortunately, it keeps crashing on my PC so I decided to switch back to CS2 until they get the final version up and running.

The news hit all of us very hard at CNET when when we officially heard the word. I was sitting at my desk reading the headline on CNN.com, I believe it said “Lost Dad Found Dead in Wilderness…” My heart immediately sunk, I just couldn’t imagine that this is the way the amazing story had to end. Although I never officially met James, I did see him in passing from time to time. We worked on the same floor and worked indirectly on two small projects that I can remember. He was a fellow employee and technologist that I respected and admired from watching shows on Tech TV and more recently CNET TV. Later that day I saw the headline “Father’s efforts to save his family called “superhuman.” I would like to express my sympathy for Kati, Sabine, and Penelope… as well as all other family and friends. My wife Priyanka and I keep praying for all of you. We were captured and moved immensely by the story, and will all of them in our hearts always. James was a great man, and he truly was a SUPERHERO. Rest in peace James, you will be missed but never forgotten.

Is the highly anticipated Playstation 3 worth the wait in line? The answer is simple, for some reasons yes… for others no. I’ve been thinking about being one of the first adopters for monetary reasons, some say it’ll go for 2 grand within the first couple weeks. I’ve also been thinking about it because I love to game, but I’ve found some discouraging postings about gaming and hardware performance, specifically here … Wait there’s more! These comparison shots of the next-gen Ridge Racer here of the PS3 with the already existing XBOX 360 are quite discouraging! Oh, and should I even consider a console system? I have a high end gaming rig hooked up to my 42″ HDTV via DVI with wireless controllers… and if I add Nvidia’s new 8800 card I’ll be all set when DX10 comes out with Vista. That way I’ll have even better graphics than any other console for years to come, that’s an interesting concept!

However, it is yet to be determined how long it will take game developers to appropriately develop around the PS3’s hardware. We saw this with the PS2, it took develops a great while to understand the capabilities of the the system… but by that time the PC market would have grown by leaps and bounds. Oh what a big mess.

It’s funny for me to go on a trip out east rather than out west. Coming from Michigan there is only one direction to travel in order to see anything interesting. I finally had the perfect chance to show my wife Priyanka (and her family) wacky Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, and boy was it a trip to remember! If anybody is wondering, the drive takes about 10.5 hours but it sure flew by with 5 people in the car. Vegas was fun, everybody lost money except me YAY! Well, after about 2 days of Vegas we were all bored, and it was ready to move on… the Grand Canyon was calling our name. It was about a 5 hour drive, we stayed overnight in a dumpy Indian owned motel (surprised?) and hit the prime spot in the morning to watch the sun come up… boy was it FREEEEZING! After that we decided to underestimate the 6 mile hike into the canyon, and we eventually discovered that hiking 6 miles down meant that we had to hike 6 miles back up! Whew what an eventful day that was (mostly because of the hike).

So, to make a long story short… things from our trip really stand out:

1. I was the only person that won in Vegas, I was up $80 bucks.
2. Hiking down is a lot easier than hiking up.

That said, the trip was really amazing and was not nearly long enough… but it’s one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever been on.
